Professional Experience

**Dr. Paul Wolf** graduated from Maastricht University (Netherlands) in 1988. After climbing Monte Disgrazia with a group of climbers in the Italian Alps, and completing various educational and hospital training in Accident & Emergency, General Surgery, and Obstetrics, he worked as a Tropical Doctor in rural South Africa.
Upon returning to Europe, Paul gained experience in Public Health in the Netherlands. He then completed UK training in Paediatrics, General Medicine, and General Practice, as part of the UK GP Specialist Training (GPST) in England. He became a GP, starting his career as a locum in Manchester, then moving to Gardens Town, Scotland. Later, he became a GP Partner in Portsoy, northern Scotland, where he also served as medical director at Campbell Hospital.
In 2001, Paul moved with his international family to Australia. There, he worked in various locations, including Pinnaroo (SA), Laurieton (NSW), and Tailem Bend (SA), before joining Aldinga Day and Night Surgery (SA) in 2016, where he remained until August 2023.
Paul has extensive experience working in rural and remote areas. In 2023, he returned to South Africa for eight weeks to work at a hospital with various Primary Health Care (PHC) outer clinics in the Limpopo area.
Since August 2023, Paul has worked at Cairns 24 Hour Medical Centre in the Central Business District (CBD) of Cairns, Far North Queensland (FNQ). He thoroughly enjoyed his time at C24HMC and hoped to stay longer in FNQ. However, for various reasons, he returned to his "home ground" in South Australia and will resume his role at Aldinga Day and Night Surgery.
Paul has an engaging personality and a wealth of stories. He is passionate about all aspects of General Practice, including Minor Surgery, Skin Checks, Mental Health, Cardiology, Chronic Disease Management, Travel Vaccinations, and Work Cover matters. He enjoys every aspect of General Medical Practice- including coaching medical students in training.
Paul is known for dedicating considerable time to his patients, which sometimes leads to longer waiting times, as he ensures comprehensive care for everyone.
Outside of medicine, Paul enjoys traveling, swimming, sailing, and kayaking, and recently qualified in freediving. He also enjoys hiking and various other outdoor activities. Paul hopes to return to places like Africa for intermittent medical work in the future
